What in the hell, thrifty. Rented a car, my flight was delayed and multiple customers ended up getting to the car rental kiosk at close to 130am. The desk was closed and locked up already. Nobody there. We called and were told to come back at 4am when they reopened. There were MULTIPLE people waiting for their rentals. Given the run around on the phone. Completely unacceptable. Do not EVER use thrifty or one of their counterparts. It's now 2am and a bunch of us had to figure out new lodging in the area, or pay over $200 just to get a taxi out of the airport (the demand created by SO MANY PEOPLE LEFT HANGING) raised transportation prices that much.
Every day since they have been charging me for still having the car (even though I flew straight back to California ).
I have phoned thrifty every day for a week since this happened and been on hold and messed around for hours and the car has still not been picked up and they are still holding me financially responsible.
The Thrifty attendant was busy so another Rental car company that works with Thrifty took us to keep things moving and the attendant was helpful and offered all kinds of tips. Picking the car was easy. Returning was easy. Car was clean and new. Great experience!
Thrifty left us for dead.
I rented a car from this location and then got into a horrible car accident with another driver who was drunk. We are lucky to be alive.
The police told us it was not safe to stay there and they then left us too (2 young girls).
DO NOT USE. Customer service was awful! The guy working the counter was rude. I was told if I didn't bring my receipt from gas I would be charged $13. I was also treated poorly when i passed up the additional insurance and told that if someone hit the car I would have to personally pay for time the vehicle lost while getting repaired. The insurance was $44 a day. I had the car for 12 hours and brought it back and switched to Enterprise. My rental agreement went from $31.63 to $48.11 AND they had my mileage at 283 miles when I only drove 13 miles. Complete joke. I rent for business all the time and have never had these issues but always use Enterprise. Never again!
I love thrifty..they treat me well every visit..all the way up to management..good people
We used our own money to find a toe truck and got toed back to New Orleans airport at 3am and thrifty then told me to leave the car across the street with the keys in the glove compartment.
I phoned thrifty and said they were sending a tow truck so we waited 4 hours into the night in a very remote area, then Thrifty said they couldn't find one and we'd have to wait overnight in an unlocked/ undrivable/ broken car in an extremely dangerous area.
