I support the state and local Police agencies and have never had this issue. One bad apple spoils a bunch. Sergeant Onstead is a BAD apple. He is not in my opinion an acceptable representation of the MEN and WOMEN IN BLUE. Truly disappointing I will be contacting the Governor's office.
I called State Police Troop B seeking assistance. I was transferred to Sergeant Onstead I asked this person for the nonemergency to report a trend of dead cats on the Crescent City Connection. When I asked for the proper spelling of his name he became extremely rude and unprofessional. Instead of providing the proper spelling of his name he asked me for my information as I provided this information he hung up the phone. I was able to obtain his name through other means. He was extremely defensive, continuously interrupting me and continued reminding me that the calls were recorded. He then hung up the phone without stating he was ending the call.
Louisiana State Police has my full support! Good work boys!

I called back and asked for Sergeant Onstead. He was agitated I provided him with my name and information and I asked him for the correct spelling of his name. The Trooper then attempted to intimidate me stating that I should not be calling an emergency line. The number I dialed was later confirmed a nonemergency number.
