I have been going there for over 20 years. I know the family well. They very kind, and the food is really great. She's got the best egg drop soup ,and the crab rangoons, I love the shrimp egg foo young. Even though they have certain foods I like the best, but I enjoy eating any of the food. I've only taken out twice, I enjoy going to sit in the restaurant and eat.
My friends and I dinned there Saturday evening, 7:30 and had the most pleasant experience. All the food was prepared very well with fresh ingredients. And the wonderful female waitress enhanced our evening with excellent service. Also, the proprietors-seems to be three sisters(?)-were hospitable. The friend who suggested this restaurant based on her continuous good experiences and I had to express to them that the waitress was the best, a plus to their business!!!
I love Fong's. The food is very good (their hot and sour soup is thick and meaty, unlike any I've had anywhere else) and the prices are very reasonable. The restaurant itself isn't much to look at, but this place does a steady take out business primarily anyway. This is by far my favorite Chinese restaurant in Jefferson Parish.
